WALTER URWIN LOCO PROJECT
If you would like to make a donation, you can do so HERE
As a community, we would like to bring home a lasting memorial to our unique industrial and engineering heritage, in the form of one of the last locomotives to leave the Vulcan Foundry.
The cost of getting the loco from Redcar, fully refurbish it, put it on display at the Vulcan site opposite Aldi and make it safe after craning it into place is £25,000.
Members of the community have expressed an interest in making a positive contribution to this project, by making a cash donation.
Thank You to John Donlan at Earlestown Film Studio for producing this video of the event for us!
Pictures of necg projects and events can be located in our necg gallery.
NECG's biggest event of the year will take place on Saturday 4th August 2018.
We hope you will join us once again, for another fun filled day out for all the family.
Photos from our 2017 Town Show can be seen in our gallery.
