This is a scheme we've seen working really well in other parts of the country, and we'd love to get local businesses involved too.
If you work at a local cafe or restaurant, ask if they will put up one of these posters in the window and another inside the shop.
The only cost to the business is a pack of post-it notes!

​NECG's biggest event of the year last took place on Saturday 3rd August 2019.
Once again you joined us in your 1000's, for another fun filled day out for all the family.

We'd like to get everyone involved with a fantastic poetry project. Write a poem about a local topic of your choice, and submit it to us online. We will share them around town on social media initially, and when our fantastic local businesses are back up and running we will ask them to display the QR codes so everyone can access the poems all over town.

Tesco Bags of Help Award

Our Year of the Environment programme of events. Bug Hotel building in Remembrace Meadow in Mesnes Park, with local groups of children. Wild flowers. Recycled bug houses to make and take home. Wildflower seed planting, and edible flower planting using recycled egg cartons. Encouraging bio-diversity, encouraging more pollinating insects to our green spaces and gardens.

Following a grant win from Lloyds Community Fund, we planted an area of Mesnes Park with a selection of shrubs and plants.
